MINORITY, MONEY, FAMILY AND HUMANITY ABUSE!!! WHY? |

United States war against Immigrants is one of the biggest illegal money making schemes against minorities currently sweeping the country. Wake up America! History is repeating itself under the guise of Homeland Security and ICE. The actions of these government agencies are reminiscent of the hateful Nazis whom once oppressed and targeted the Jews.
Thousands of lives are being destroyed by the separation of families and the mass deportations of Immigrants. These deportations not only destroy the lives of the deportee but also that of family members (sometimes U.S. citizens) left behind and in some instances leading to the death of those deported when sent to impoverished or war ridden countries. Similar to the Jews and the slaves, immigrants/minorities are being targeted, separated from their loved ones and then sent to prison to serve open ended sentences with no end in sight. It is not a coincidence that over 90% of those detained are colored (either black or Hispanic). A large number of these detainees are forced to languish in prison with convicted criminals for over prolonged periods of times and often abused at the prison facilities contracted by ICE. In addition, the due process of detainees are often violated by the immigration Court System, through overzealous and racist Immigration judges and DHS prosecutors whom keep these immigrants detained for as long as possible only to deport them months or even years later. Some Immigration defense Attorneys also contribute to this situation thru private/secret deals made with prosecutors and the often obscenely large fees charged to these immigrants for little to no work done on the Immigrants behalf. It is a system where immigrants are set to fail and are against all odds. It is also a money making scheme where those in power are profiting off the suffering of minorities. It is no secret that the prison facilities contracted by ICE to detain immigrants are paid over double the money to detain an ICE detainee over a convicted criminal. Unfortunately however, these facts are rarely shown on nightly news programs that often take a one sided approach to the Immigration issue and thereby keep the general public naive to the current plight of immigrants and the overwhelmingly large number of immigration abuse in the United States. Few media outlets dare shed light on the unjust and corrupt dealings occurring against immigrants as it goes against the norm and often too inconvenient or unpopular to depict. It’s more common to hear the one sided story under the guise of terror alerts or homeland security which only creates fear and hatred against Immigrants, when the real truth is that the overwhelming majority of Immigrants are law abiding members of society and want to contribute to the better good of their community. The sad truth and the sorrows and cries of thousands of children being torn from their mothers and fathers are hidden and the epidemic of broken homes, emotionally distressed children and lack of education and school drop out rates is worsened. A perfect example of the unjust and corrupt actions of the current Immigration system is the case of Edwardo A. A. Mathew a Legal Permanent Resident, family and businessman from Aruba whom after 13-1/2 months continues to be detained for a discrepancy found on his Residency papers. Mr. Mathew was a respected member of his community, father and husband to a U. S. born citizen son and wife and the owner of a successful granite import/export company in Rhode Island. Despite the fact that Mathew’s case contains no ties to terrorism and he is neither a flight risk nor a danger to society, his case was continuously postponed for almost a year before an unjust order of deportation was issued by the Immigration judge. In addition, while under the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement he was beaten, abused and endured countless violations of his rights at the prison facilities he has been detained in. Once witnessing the abusive behavior against immigrants the Mathew’s took action and collected over a year of phone recordings and kept diligent records of interactions with Judges, senators, prison officials, etc. to showcase the injustice occurring against immigrants. The Mathew Foundation & Committee call on all black and Hispanic organizations & activists to unite and help stop the abuse and torture against our Immigrant brothers and sisters. As advocates for the rights of immigrants or minorities we must put a stop to these racist money making operations and stop the majorities from benefiting off the blood, sweat and tears of the minorities. Let us not wait for CNN to broadcast a story and then to act and appear on TV as heroes for 15 minutes. Immigrants have suffered enough and continue to suffer everyday at the hands of the oppressors. As advocates we should act as such no matter how big or small the case and be heard as the voice for those who cannot fend for themselves. To learn more about the case of Edwardo Mathew visit: www.edwardomathew.com CONTACT INFORMATION:The Mathew Foundation103 Webster StreetPawtucket, RI 02861401-305-3445 Tel.401-305-3446 Fax.www.edwardomathew.com
